Make a WHOIS search on any domain on the Web, find out if your domain as been registered or not. You can also get in-depth information regarding a specific domain name or IP address by looking in the DNS records, check to see if ports are available, ping a host/ip, run a traceroute to find out if there is a problem or perform all of these just for informational purposes.
